I believe that this will be a closely contested series throughout. The Los Angeles Lakers will struggle more with the Orlando Magic than they did with the Denver Nuggets and the same goes for Orlando (with Cleveland). However, there has to be a winner, so here is my prediction for the 2009 NBA Finals:

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Orlando Magic (Los Angeles in 6 games)

In the end, there will be just too much Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol for the upstart Magic to handle. The Lakers have learned their lesson after losing last year to the Boston Celtics. I predict that the Lakers will win both Game 1 and Game 2 to start the series. The Magic will then ride their home fans to victories in Game 3 and Game 4. But, to close the series out, the Lakers will win both Game 5 in Orlando and Game 6 in Los Angeles.

Finals MVP: Kobe Bryant

I just cannot see somebody else receiving the award besides KB24 in this series. It was made for either Kobe or LeBron this year and, since we have seen the last of King James for the year, it is the Black Mamba’s to lose.
