Kobe for MVP

Here are the reasons why (or why not) Kobe will win the MVP:

Why he’ll win it: Many consider Kobe to be the best player in the league (even better than LeBron). He is an extremely skilled player who can dominate games on his own and will the Lakers to victory. Although LA acquired Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum emerged as double-double threat, there is no one player on any team that is more valuable than Kobe is to the Lakers. Another huge reason why he should be MVP is that Kobe has given LA victories to go along with his enormous statistics. Los Angeles has already gained the top seed in the West (outdoing Chris Paul’s Hornets), and nobody can say Kobe had nothing to do with that.

Why he won’t: Questions have emerged about how good the Lakers would be is they didn’t have Gasol or Bynum. In some people’s minds, if Kobe would get the MVP, then Gasol should also because he revitalized the Lakers and made them a championship contender. Many think that Kobe would not even have his team in the Playoff race is it wasn’t for his other two stars.
